St John’s Wood bathroom
Children’s bathroom
As the bathroom was of a medium size and had a multi-functional purpose with a bath and shower, careful consideration was given to the dimension of the fittings and fixtures enabling us to fit in everything neatly whilst leaving plenty of space to move around. We did not want the space to feel overcrowded, but to provide a sense of calm. The bathroom had to be blue, said the son! Layers of lighting including ceiling spotlights, illuminated mirror and LED strip lights under the bath and in the shower niche, turn on upon entry.
Cloakroom
The client wanted to turn the cloakroom into a fresh and clean looking bathroom. A key design feature was to build storage above the toilet cistern to hide the toilet rolls, bottles or anything that created clutter. A cupboard was made and hidden behind a built in mirror. We installed a narrow contemporary basin with antique brass taps, attractive pendant lights next to a complementary shaped mirror. As the client loved decorative tiles, these were placed on the floor and back wall adding to the texture of the scheme. The bathroom was lit by a layer of LED lights under the sink and recess cupboard.
